Our Story
Bolingbroke, Georgia, a small, quaint, historic Southern town, is under attack! From whom, one might wonder, an outlier, an outcast, an outsider perhaps?
The answer is none of those above; we're under attack by those who have called this wonderful place home, those who see only a dollar sign and not a sense of community, and those who seek to exploit their neighbors for their own benefit.
Recently, the idea of a megasite comprised of NINE data centers, each building as large as 10 acres in size has been proposed in southern Monroe County, an area rich in history, rich in community and surrounded by neighbors who fled the city for the quiet rural lifestyle that those of us who grew up here love so much.
As of now, our community is in an uproar. We are facing those with millions of dollars who are used to running roughshod over the "average citizen." They didn't, however, expect such a voice, such a fight from the community. We ask that you join us in expressing your concerns about spot rezoning in Monroe County. If it's not highly illegal, it's surely highly unethical (which surprises no one at this point).
The plan for now is the data centers, but we're not foolish... this is an attempt to rezone, which can then be sold and used as anything- strip malls, strip clubs, truck stops, gas stations, etc.- nothing more than an attempt to degrade a rural neighborly area over greed.

The Average lifespan of a data center is 10 years.
That means once they are done ruining our land, our ecosystem, our power grid, and our water, they leave, leaving 9 huge empty buildings for now "warehouse" purposes.
Imagine Bolingbroke ripe with commercial truck traffic as they work to supply these warehouses with products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Commercial trucks will move back and forth on Rivoli Road and Pate Road, exiting and entering I-75 to reach the ports in Savannah.
This is the reality; this is the future...

If so, great. It's what's coming if they get their way!
It takes massive power to supply data centers, and lines like this can't be buried or hidden.
They will require imminent domain, seize your land, and put up a pole, massive poles, massive lines, right through your property, and there won't be a single thing you can do about it.
The expansion of such power and a power grid falls on the backs of the taxpayers. Look it up; it's a reality.
Some Georgia Lawmakers tried to stop this, and it, unfortunately, failed to pass.
